Compared with a typical used US$200 median and US$448 75th percentile, US$495 is a bit ambitious for this amp unless the wood case is especially clean and the unit has recent service. It is not wildly off for a desirable vintage Pioneer, but it’s above the usual upper-middle of the market, so I’d treat it as a premium asking price rather than a bargain.
That said, this is a respected late-’70s integrated with 80 W/ch, solid phono support, and Pioneer’s non-switching design, which gives it real appeal beyond basic watts. The wood case helps the desirability, and a tested-working example is worth more than a mystery box here. For a buyer, the upside is a classy, capable vintage amp with strong resale if it’s clean and well sorted; at this number, I’d want confirmation of recent maintenance, quiet controls, and bias/DC performance.
