Terms of use
Last updated: May 2026
1. What RADAR is
RADAR is a price search engine for used and pre-owned hi-fi equipment operated by Sound Media Group Pty Ltd. We aggregate listings from third-party marketplaces and link you to the original listing on the source site. We don't sell items direct, we don't broker transactions, and we don't hold inventory.
2. No buy/sell relationship
When you click through to a listing, your transaction is between you and the seller on that marketplace under their terms. RADAR is not a party. We don't verify sellers, condition descriptions, prices, or shipping claims.
3. Pricing data
Prices, condition ratings, RRP/MSRP, "Price rating" pills, sparklines and aggregate statistics on RADAR are derived from listing data and reference databases. They are estimates intended to help you research the market. They are not appraisals and shouldn't be relied on for insurance, dispute, or commercial valuation purposes.
4. Acceptable use
Don't:
- Use automated tools to download our pages or data beyond what robots.txt allows.
- Reverse-engineer or reproduce the price intelligence (sparklines, ratings, aggregates) as a competing service.
- Misrepresent yourself when creating an account.
5. Accounts
RADAR accounts use StereoNET single sign-on. Account-level conduct is governed by the StereoNET terms. We can suspend or remove RADAR account features (saved searches, alerts) at our discretion for abuse.
6. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, RADAR and Sound Media Group Pty Ltd are not liable for any loss arising from your use of the site, transactions with sellers found via RADAR, or reliance on price estimates.
7. Changes
We may update these terms. Continued use after a change means you accept the new version.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
