Seller's Description

The excellent amplifier with very few marks of wear over the years.Have been professionally serviced, tested, cleaned, and replaced components only that were out of spec. All parts are still original. You will have the quality of build and sound like a 70s-80s amp, which is only a fraction of what you would pay for a modern one to achieve such a level of sound quality. You will need a step-down transformer to run it in the UK or Europe. This is not included in the purchase, but I can guide you in purchasing it or supply it for an extra fee. Also, It can be converted to 240V internally for about a 150-170£ extra fee (depending on the amp's power) if you request it.Feel free to contact me if you have any questions and discuss the price, or have any concerns about which amplifier you choose from those I have in my shop.I provide 5-star friendly customer service with after-sales support.: Description:The RS series top-of-the-line pre-main amplifier is fully compatible with digital sources by adopting the super turbo system. In the Super Turbo system, the power transformer, which generates harmful modulation noise components inside the amplifier, is separated from the amplifier purely electrically. This system extends the dynamic dynamic range by 20 dB.In this system, when a low audio signal of 100 Hz or less is input to the amplifier, noise caused by ± imbalance in the power supply is prevented by using a delta turbo circuit, and noise caused by signal magnitude is prevented by using a turbo filter circuit.Onkyo's unique super servo integral system is adopted. This method completely eliminates intermodulation distortion that occurs when the electromotive force induced in the speaker flows into the output stage with a time lag due to external factors such as the sound pressure of other channels. In addition, servo feedback is applied to the input side from both the + and - sides of the output side of the amplifier, and harmful noise components especially at very low frequencies are cut off, and noise components generated in the impedance accumulated by various resistance components in the ground line are suppressed.Technical Data:Rated output (20Hz to 20kHz)120W+120W (AUX→SP Out, 8Ω, both channels driven)Total harmonic distortion (20Hz to 20kHz)0.007% (AUX → SP Out, at rated output)0.005% (AUX → SP Out, at 1/2 output)0.003% (Phono MM → Rec Out, 3V)0.01% (Phono MC → Rec Out, 3V)Intermodulation Distortion 0.004% (AUX → SP Out)Power Band Width5Hz - 100kHz (IHF・3dB, THD 0.2%)Damping Factor100 (1kHz, 8Ω)Frequency ResponsePhono→Rec Out=20Hz~20kHz ±0.2dB(RIAA deviation)AUX→SP Out=2Hz~100kHz +0 -3dBInput Sensitivity/ImpedancePhono MM=2.5mV/47kΩ, 100kΩPhono High MC=2.5mV/100ΩPhono MC=150μV/100Ω, 220ΩCD, Tuner, AUX, Tape Play=150mV/47kΩPhono maximum allowable input(1kHz/10kHz, 0.05%)Phono MM=300mV/1400mVPhono High MC=300mV/1400mVPhono MC=19mV/90mVOutput voltage/impedanceTape Rec=150mV/560ΩPre Out=1.5V/600ΩS/N ratio (IHF short)Phono MM=88dBPhono MC=70dBCD, Tuner, AUX, Tape Play=100dBTone control (Vol -16dB)Bass=±8dB(70Hz)Treble=±8dB(20kHz)loudness+4dB, +6dB(100Hz)Subsonic Filter 15Hz, 6dB/octMuting-20dBpower supply AC100V, 50Hz/60HzPower consumption 210W (Electrical Appliance and Material Control Law standard)AC Outlet: unswitched 1 piece (200W)switched 2 pieces (total 200W)External dimensions: Width 471 x Height 175 x Depth 431 mmweight 23kgDisclaimer:Although I take every precaution in managing my hi-fi and hi-end products, there is a possibility that small scratches may occur during display and storage. About Onkyo

Onkyo traces its roots to postwar Japan, founded in 1946 in Osaka by Takeshi Goda, an engineer at Matsushita Electric who envisioned high-quality Japanese loudspeakers. Initially established as Osaka Denki Onkyo K.K., the company began production in 1948 with the acclaimed ED-100 speaker featuring a 25 cm driver, quickly building a reputation through LP concerts and innovative designs that resonated with audiophiles.

The brand excels in premium home audio, renowned for AV receivers, hi-fi amplifiers, and surround sound speakers that deliver exceptional clarity and power. Its portfolio spans turntables, DACs, headphones, and cables, bolstered by acquisitions like Pioneer's home electronics division in 2015, enabling cutting-edge integrations such as internet radio and high-resolution streaming.

Onkyo holds a solid mid-tier position in the hi-fi market, prized by discerning buyers for reliable performance and value rather than ultra-high-end exotica. Despite bankruptcy challenges in the late 2010s, its revival under new ownership preserves a legacy of technological innovation and pure sound enjoyment, appealing to both vintage enthusiasts and modern home cinema setups.
