This one lands below the usual used asking level, and the age matters: the PRA-1100 is an ’80s preamp, so you’re buying on condition and service history more than on spec-sheet freshness. At €120, it’s clearly under the €250 used listing I found and well below the original €475 retail, so it reads as a good buy if it’s healthy.
What makes it worth grabbing is that Denon’s old preamps are generally respected for solid phono flexibility, straightforward ergonomics, and a clean, full-bodied presentation that still pairs well with vintage power amps. The upside here is value: if it’s truly intact and quiet, you’re getting a capable classic for not much money.
