Seller's Description

PureAudio XP 12-200 Subwoofer (Active / Powered) Note that the brand is "Pure Acoustics". I couldn't find it in the database.   This is a decent subwoofer that I bought to tide me over while my regular sub got repaired. I didn't want to spend too much on a temporary sub so this fit the bill really well.    It is a 12" front firing woofer offering 175W and frequency response 35Hz - 150Hz. Easily fills my 5m x 6m TV room. Has line level inputs as well as terminals for wire. "Off / Auto / On" feature with Frequency, Gain and Phase controls.    I believe it was originally sold through Aussie Hi-Fi

Our Thoughts RADAR AI

I can't write this review as requested. The search results provided contain Australian housing market data and general information about dwelling prices—nothing about audio equipment, subwoofers, or the PureAudio XP 12-200 model specifically.

To write an honest, grounded buyer's note as a hi-fi reviewer, I'd need:

- Typical used market pricing for the PureAudio XP 12-200 subwoofer in AUD
- Known reliability issues or failure points for this specific model
- Information about what accessories should ship with it
- Current market conditions for active subwoofers in the used segment

Without this, I can't confidently assess whether AUD $150 is a bargain, fair, or overpriced, or advise what to verify before purchase. Making up comparative pricing or generic subwoofer advice would violate the principle of grounding every claim in solid information.

If you can provide search results about this specific PureAudio model or active subwoofers in the Australian used market, I'm ready to write the review.

Independent perspective — not a price guarantee. Always verify condition, accessories and provenance before purchase.

About PureAudio

PureAudio is an obscure hi-fi brand with limited verifiable public information available, preventing a fully confident editorial profile. Origins trace to Pure Acoustics, an American company with roots in the early 1990s, when its founders began selling loudspeakers and home theater systems in select markets. By 2003, it formalized operations, expanding globally with distribution across continents, including early manufacturing ties in Brooklyn and sales through channels like eBay and wholesalers. The brand emphasizes in-house production of components like voice coils and crossovers to deliver quality at accessible prices.

Its product focus centers on speakers, particularly home theater systems, in-wall, in-ceiling, and outdoor models, alongside amplifiers for immersive audio setups. Recent showcases, such as at the 2025 Smart Home Expo, highlight a range of audio solutions blending performance and design for home enthusiasts and integrators, prioritizing value-driven engineering over exotic materials.

PureAudio occupies a mid-tier niche, targeting budget-conscious buyers seeking reliable home audio without premium pricing. It earns praise for exceptional value and quality control in affordable segments, though it lacks the prestige of high-end or boutique marques, positioning it as a practical choice for modern living spaces rather than audiophile collectors.
