Wadia 27ix v3 D/A convertor. Amazing sounding unit that was Wadia's flagship in the late 1990s and early 2000s. This is the latest update (v3) with selectable reconstruction filters including the original Wadia Digimaster algorithm for which Wadia is best known. $8,950 when new. "Class A with a bullet" it concludes.Sale includes the 27ix in the original packaging, remote control, the cones and pads (in case you want to save your furniture), and a pair of the original ATT Glass Fiber connecting cables in case you have a Wadia 270 transport - one for data and one for the clock.I also have a Wadia 270 CD transport which is an outstanding companion for this unit but, sadly, the display has become dim over the years. It plays discs perfectly but the display is very, very dim and I've not been able to find a replacement part. The display in the 27ix (as shown in the photos) is perfect. If you are interested in the pair I'll work out something very favorable. I also have a spare laser assembly for the 270 but have never needed it.Local inspection and pickup welcome in San Francisco area.
