A$750 is on the ambitious side for an A-717, unless it’s been recently serviced and is cosmetically very clean. Based on typical used-market behavior for these larger Pioneer integrateds, that’s more “top-end asking price” than bargain territory, so I’d want strong proof of maintenance to feel good about it.
That said, the A-717 is a serious late-’80s Pioneer: muscular power supply, good current delivery, and a properly weighty, authoritative sound that suits speakers needing control. At this price, I’d specifically want confirmation of stable operation, quiet controls, and no relay or protection issues before jumping in.
