These are in excellent condition with no marks or faults. They have been unpacked and repacked a few times and have all the accessories originally supplied. The timing is good in the sense that this is a mature, proven generation rather than a brand-new model with unknowns, but the asking price is ambitious against your AUD comps. At A$5,265, it sits well above the 75th percentile of A$3,303 and more than double the median A$1,954, so it’s not priced like a typical used buy; I’d only call it justified if the package is exceptionally complete and fresh.
That said, the Prime 21 is a seriously respected belt-drive deck: quiet, rhythmically sure-footed, and a very solid platform for revealing tonearms and cartridges. If this is a clean, well-kept package with the right arm and all the usual accessories, the appeal is real. The upside is ownership of a high-tier VPI setup that can be a long-term endgame deck, but at this level I’d want strong evidence of condition, setup quality, and included parts before paying full ask.
