A pristine example of the current generation of PrimaLuna tube integrated amplifiers. Everything works, including the BTI (Bad Tube Indication). I had purchased 4 PrimaLuna EL34 tubes from Upscale Audio as spares. One day the amp would not turn on and there was a red light on in front of the 2nd power tube. I replaced the tube with one of the new ones and it started right up. No need to bias the new tube. If you look closely, you can see the profile of this tube is slightly different than the other three. The new PrimaLuna tubes have this profile. in my setup I had replaced the two center preamp tubes (tubes 7 and 8) with RCA clear tops (the original PrimaLuna tubes are included with the amp). I also had my speakers connected to the 4-ohm taps. With the remote, I could switch between the triode and ultra linear settings, even for a single song on the side of an album. The triode setting really helps tame some of those ‘70s recordings that were mastered for the car stereo in a GTO with headers and glass packs . . .
