Zum Verkauf steht meine Quad QC-24 Röhrenvorstufe, entworfen vom legendären Tim de Paravicini, der unter anderem auch für EAR Yoshino gearbeitet hat und leider bereits verstorben ist. Die QC-24 dürfte eines seiner letzten industriellen Designs gewesen sein.
Das Gerät klingt einfach unwahrscheinlich schön, schwärmerisch und romantisch. Es besitzt eine wunderbare Sättigung in den Mitten, klingt niemals aufdringlich, gleichzeitig aber auch keineswegs langweilig oder zugekleistert. Für mich ist die QC-24 ein außerordentlich musikalisches Gerät, das Musik nicht analysiert, sondern erlebbar macht.
Ein großer Vorteil dieser Vorstufe ist ihre niedrige Ausgangsimpedanz. Dadurch können die allermeisten Transistor- und Röhrenendstufen problemlos betrieben werden. Ich selbst habe die QC-24 zunächst mit einer Röhrenendstufe betrieben, bin inzwischen jedoch aus pragmatischen Gründen – nicht unbedingt aus klanglichen Gründen – wieder auf einen Vollverstärker bzw. auf bewährte Transistortechnik umgestiegen.
Ich habe das Gerät ungefähr ein halbes Jahr benutzt. Insgesamt wurde die Vorstufe eher selten verwendet. Die verbaute Röhre ist selbstverständlich in Ordnung und funktioniert einwandfrei.
Leider besitze ich keine Originalverpackung und bin auch nicht der Erstbesitzer. Daher kann ich zur Historie des Geräts leider nicht viel sagen.
Ich würde mich sehr freuen, wenn dieses schöne Gerät wieder in echte Liebhaberhände gelangen würde.
