Seller's Description

Lenehan Audio ML2 Limited Standmount Loudspeakers These are among the best speakers I’ve ever heard. However like most the upgrade bug has bitten, also I’m always in the game for something different..   These are a pretty special build with only the finest duelund components used which are well above what Mike even uses in the replacement model ($14.5k without stands) . The capacitors alone are over $1500 a pair now. This pair also have multiple sets of Bybee purifiers bonded directly to the drivers, along with Mikes unique star-drive grounding system, even the cabinet lining gets earthed. Bui

Our Thoughts RADAR AI

Seller's market for boutique Lenehan ML2s right now—handmade Queensland gems hold value well, with low supply driving prices up. At AUD $6,500 for a used Limited Edition, this is ambitious; typical used ML2 References fetch AUD $3,150–$4,500 in good-to-excellent shape, per recent listings, while Limited Editions with premium Duelund caps and external crossovers rarely dip below AUD $5,000 even in very good condition. New ones start around AUD $4,500–$5,500, so you're paying near top dollar—haggle if the cosmetics or hours aren't pristine.

Buyers, verify the external crossovers are included and original (they're a Limited Edition hallmark and costly to replace), plus check for cabinet delamination or driver surround wear—common on these heavy composite builds after 5+ years. Insist on auditioning with your amp; ML2s are picky about upstream gear and placement to avoid bass bloat.

Independent perspective — not a price guarantee. Always verify condition, accessories and provenance before purchase.

About Lenehan Audio

Lenehan Audio emerged from humble beginnings in Australia, starting as a converted garage workshop in Nerang, Queensland, before expanding to a dedicated factory in Ashmore on the Gold Coast. Founded by longtime audiophile speaker designer Dave Lenehan, the brand has built a dedicated heritage in handcrafted audio, earning a loyal following among discerning enthusiasts in the region.

The company specializes in exceptional loudspeakers, with models like the acclaimed ML1 standing out for their precise engineering. These passive two-way designs feature high-quality components such as a 5.5-inch Nomex driver, a one-inch soft dome tweeter, and custom-tuned crossovers, delivering accurate, balanced sound. While primarily focused on speakers, Lenehan Audio positions itself as Australian-made high-end audio professionals, emphasizing direct sales to eliminate excessive retail margins.

Lenehan Audio occupies a niche boutique position in the high-end market, prized by knowledgeable hi-fi buyers for superb construction and performance at accessible prices, such as $2500 per pair for the ML1. Its reputation rests on meticulous, small-batch production rather than mass-market volume, appealing to those seeking authentic Australian craftsmanship. Note that as of March 2025, the brand rebranded to Lenehan Brothers under Dave's siblings Russell and Martin.
