Our Thoughts RADAR AI

This is a buyer’s market for vintage/older ITT speakers only if the model is genuinely identifiable and in clean working order; at €70, the listing looks fair to slightly good rather than a steal. I can’t benchmark ITT IF1-130 confidently from the available data, so the price is hard to pin to a solid used range without more model-specific info.

What matters here is whether these are intact, original, and sounding balanced: a clean pair of classic ITT speakers can be a perfectly worthwhile grab if you want an inexpensive vintage listen with some character. At this price, the upside is mainly low-risk entry into a likely well-built older set; I’d just confirm driver originality, both channels playing evenly, and that the cabinets and surrounds are healthy before jumping.

Independent perspective — not a price guarantee. Always verify condition, accessories and provenance before purchase.

About ITT

# ITT Audio/Hi-Fi Brand Description

ITT's presence in consumer audio stems from its mid-20th-century diversification into electronics manufacturing. Founded in 1920 as International Telephone & Telegraph by brothers Sosthenes and Hernand Behn, the company evolved from telecommunications into a sprawling conglomerate. By the late 1960s, ITT acquired the British electronics manufacturer Kolster-Brandes Limited and expanded significantly into UK domestic markets, producing televisions, audio equipment, and portable radios under the ITT and ITT KB brands through the 1970s and beyond.

ITT's audio division focused primarily on receivers, amplifiers, and tape decks positioned in the mid-market consumer segment rather than high-end audiophile territory. Models such as the 8032 receiver/amplifier and 8021 tape deck represent the brand's output during its active years in consumer electronics. The company's audio products reflected solid engineering practices typical of major electronics manufacturers of that era, though they competed alongside more specialized hi-fi brands.

Today, ITT audio equipment exists primarily in the vintage and collector market. Original units occasionally surface in secondhand channels and appeal to enthusiasts seeking period-correct 1970s–1980s electronics. While not commanding premium prices or cult status, ITT audio gear is generally regarded as competent, well-constructed equipment from a reputable industrial manufacturer rather than a dedicated audio specialist. Availability of service documentation and replacement parts remains limited, making condition and functionality key considerations for prospective buyers.
