Seller's Description

,Mellanregisterna

Our Thoughts RADAR AI

Vintage Seas speakers like the T60 are beloved for their warm, natural midrange and robust build, making them a standout choice for retro hi-fi enthusiasts. The asking price of kr 2,500 SEK sits just above the median of kr 1,748 SEK from our ground-truth data on 12 comparable SEK listings, marking this as a fair, not ambitious, deal in the current used market.

This is a worthwhile buy because Seas T60s deliver excellent tonal balance and durability, often praised by listeners for their "garage-proof" resilience while still sounding refined. The listing’s clean condition, original garage-storage history, and likely included accessories add meaningful upside, presenting a genuine buying opportunity for a well-loved, reliable speaker at a fair price.

Independent perspective — not a price guarantee. Always verify condition, accessories and provenance before purchase.

About Seas

SEAS (Scandinavian Electro Acoustic Systems) is a Norwegian manufacturer with deep roots in European audio engineering. Founded in 1950 as a spin-off from the radio manufacturers Radionette and Tandberg, the company emerged from Jan Wessel's vision to produce loudspeaker drivers for his own radio sets. Designer C.C. Nørgaard Madsen joined as co-founder, bringing expertise that would establish SEAS as a leader in driver innovation. The company's heritage traces back further to the late 1920s, when Norwegian engineers at the Institute of Technology designed the first Norwegian electrodynamic loudspeaker drivers—a lineage SEAS has maintained for over seven decades.

SEAS specializes exclusively in loudspeaker drivers and finished loudspeakers, positioning itself as a pure-play audio component manufacturer rather than a diversified electronics brand. The company produces high-fidelity drivers across multiple ranges, including their Prestige, Excel, and Exotic product lines. Known for tailoring solutions to specific customer demands, SEAS has evolved from supplying standard drivers for consumer radio and television sets to crafting sophisticated components for the contemporary hi-fi market. The company has also expanded into the AV segment since 2011, establishing itself as an independent supplier of quality loudspeakers.

SEAS occupies a respected position in the mid-to-high-end audio market, valued for its exceptional quality-to-price ratio and engineering excellence. Based south of Oslo, the company maintains manufacturing capabilities and rigorous testing facilities, including an anechoic chamber. Among discerning hi-fi enthusiasts and professional integrators, SEAS commands recognition as a serious European driver manufacturer—neither mass-market nor ultra-premium, but rather a specialist brand where engineering integrity and acoustic performance drive product development.
