Seller's Description

The Black Night is based on a 60 mm high substructure milled from a solid block of aluminum. A 25 mm thick insert made of special plastic sits in a recess in this platform, precisely fitted and screwed into place. This insert acts as a damping element between the platform and the platter's substructure. Together, these components weigh approximately 30 kg. The entire base rests on four very stable feet, constructed with a ball-and-spring system, which further decouple the base from impact noise.

Our Thoughts RADAR AI

At US$18,995, this TW Acustic Black Night Raven listing sits above the 75th percentile of US$17,111 from the ground truth of 13 recent comparable used listings, making the price ambitious relative to the typical used market. While it exceeds the median of US$12,557, it remains below new pricing, which often exceeds US$30,000 for the turntable alone.

This is a worthwhile buy for enthusiasts seeking one of the world’s best turntables, as the Black Night model is TW Acustic’s flagship, renowned for its three-motor belt-drive system and exceptional timing. The included Raven 10.5 tonearm and newer belt add meaningful upside, and original-owner condition with upgrades makes this a compelling opportunity despite the premium price.
