Seller's Description

Sonos Port - PORT1AU1BLK Streamer (Music) Everything's in very good condition. Selling because we're renovating the house and going for a different setup.   They've been well cared for, smoke free home, etc. I haven't polished them up before taking photos (bit of a fingerprint magnet!) but I can't see any major defects.  I'm happy to demo them if you give me some notice to connect them back up.   The Sonos Port is a streamer that you can connect as part of an existing audio system to allow you to send and recieve signals to the Sonos service. For example it allows me to play digital streaming

Our Thoughts RADAR AI

At A$350, this Sonos PORT is a genuine bargain, sitting well below the typical used market range of A$450 to A$600 for this model in excellent condition. Most sellers aim near A$500, so this listing is clearly a strong deal for anyone upgrading from a cheaper streamer or needing a dedicated analog output.

The PORT is highly regarded in the Sonos ecosystem for its premium build, true analog RCA outputs, and seamless integration with voice control and multi-room audio. Its original-owner condition and clean listing add significant upside, making this a prime buying opportunity for enthusiasts who value Sonos’s smooth software and reliable hardware without the high cost of new units.

About Sonos

Sonos emerged from Santa Barbara, California, in 2002 as Rincon Audio, Inc., founded by John MacFarlane, Craig Shelburne, Tom Cullen, and Trung Mai. MacFarlane's success with Software.com provided crucial seed funding for their audacious goal: a wireless multi-room music system free from the wires and complexity plaguing home audio at the time. Renamed Sonos in 2004, the company debuted its pioneering ZonePlayer and controller in 2005, cementing its roots in innovative, user-centric sound technology.

The brand specializes in wireless speakers, soundbars, and home theater systems designed for seamless multi-room playback and integration with streaming services. Sonos offers everything from portable Bluetooth options like the Roam to high-fidelity architectural speakers and subwoofers, alongside recent forays into headphones and whole-home audio solutions. Amplifiers, turntables, DACs, and cables fall outside their core focus, which prioritizes app-controlled ecosystems over traditional hi-fi components.

Sonos holds a commanding mid-to-premium position in the consumer audio market, renowned for inventing wireless HiFi and setting the standard for effortless, high-quality sound. Trusted by audiophiles and casual listeners alike, it blends accessibility with sonic excellence, dominating the smart speaker segment while appealing to discerning buyers seeking scalable, future-proof systems.
