Seller's Description

Osborn Loudspeaker Titan Bookshelf Loudspeakers I am primarily looking for a Osborn Titan, preferably in Bubinga, Walnut or Jarrah as the redder wood tones will better suit the room but I am open to other veneers. Black and white sit at the very bottom of my wish list, neither of my wife and I are overly fond of them. I am a bit open to the idea of different models, especially the Eos Elite as it is also a bookshelf. As much as I personally would like to get a floorstander it is a decision that will be far more difficult to get past my wife. She is a bit of the opinion that music sounds fine n

Our Thoughts RADAR AI

Timing matters a bit here because this is an established Osborn design rather than a current-generation model, so buyers are mainly judging condition and original completeness rather than spec-sheet freshness. At A$4,000, it sits just above the 75th percentile of the recent AUD comp set, so this is ambitious rather than fair value; the median is A$2,038 and the upper quartile is A$4,037, which puts the ask right at the top end of normal used pricing.

That said, Osborn’s Titan Bookshelf is a respected Aussie hi-fi piece with the sort of solid cabinet work and dynamic, room-filling presentation that keeps these on people’s shortlists. If the pair is clean, original, and includes grilles/stands or other matching extras, there is some upside for a buyer who specifically wants this sound and doesn’t want to wait for a rarer local example. At this price, I’d want confirmed driver health and no cabinet or crossover issues, because you’re paying for a premium example, not a bargain.

Independent perspective — not a price guarantee. Always verify condition, accessories and provenance before purchase.

About Osborn Loudspeakers

Osborn Loudspeakers was founded in 1984 in Australia by Greg Osborn, a passionate live music enthusiast who identified a profound gap between the immediacy of live performances and typical reproduced sound. Driven by this insight, he established the brand—known fully as Osborn No Compromise Loudspeakers—to pursue unyielding audio fidelity, crafting systems that bridge that divide through meticulous design and premium components.

The company specializes exclusively in high-performance loudspeakers, eschewing diversification into amplifiers, turntables, DACs, headphones, or cables. Iconic models like the Grand Monument Reference, Titan Elite, Eclipse, and Epitome Towers exemplify their approach: massive, efficient drivers—often just a single high-power woofer and tweeter per speaker—engineered with robust construction and powerful magnets for exceptional dynamics and clarity. These floorstanding towers dominate their catalog, tailored for hi-fi and home theater setups that demand scale and precision.

Positioned as a niche boutique in the high-end market, Osborn commands respect among discerning audiophiles for delivering "no compromise" performance that punches above its price in subjective listening tests, though objective measurements remain scarce. Australian-made and world-renowned for their size, power handling, and live-like reproduction, they appeal to buyers seeking rare, statement-making speakers that rival global elites without widespread hype.
