While a full Dual CS 514 turntable with a fresh DN-239 service recently appeared for USD$220 on Reverb, buying just the cartridge at this price is poor value. The cartridge itself is essentially a budget OEM version of the Audio Technica ATN-3600L, and a replacement stylus alone costs only USD$35 to USD$37, making the whole cartridge hard to justify at more than USD$60–USD$80 in good condition.
The DN-239 is a reliable, entry-level moving-magnet cartridge that tracks well on standard Dual turntables like the CS 514 or 414, offering decent sound for the price when new.
