A thorough and meticulous service has been done on tis unit DC idling adjustment performed. ◆DC offset voltage (midpoint voltage) adjustment performed. The sliders of the volume controls were rubbed and cleaned. The lever switches (8 units) often had poor contact due to oxide coatings, so they were disassembled, polished, and cleaned. The selector switch and mode switch were removed and their contacts rubbed and cleaned. The tone control switch contacts were rubbed and cleaned. ◆The PRE-MAIN selector slide switch contacts were rubbed and cleaned. cleaned. The front panel and knobs were cleaned with alcohol to remove any dirt and then cleaned. We have serviced over 100 units, and our successful bidders have been very satisfied with the sound quality. <The playback sound is clear, with a lingering high and low frequency response and the sparkle of LUX TONE. The sound quality is smooth and mellow, unlike that of a transistor amplifier. Since there is no protection relay circuit, there may be a slight popping noise when turning the power on/off. If this is a concern, we recommend turning the speaker selector switch to OFF before turning the power on/off. Exterior - The wood case was primed and polished with WATCO oil. - Genuine power cable included.Please note this is a japanese domestic unit. you need a step down transformer (120v/100v) to operate the unit within specifications. A 500wats power down transformer, available online for around $50 is indicated.
