Seller's Description

Dynaudio Confidence C1-II Bookshelf Loudspeakers Hi,   Up for sale is a pair of Dynaudio C1-II speakers, on heavy stands (can be sand filled), with IsoAcoustics feet. Good condition, and sound is flawless.   They sound fantastic, presenting a rich, detailed sound far in excess of their size. There are plenty of reviews around. In my opinion, they sound dramatically better than the Special 40 or the new Contour 20i, though that's up to you to decide. In my experience, this generation is generally regarded as the "golden age" of Dynaudio.    They've been in the cupboard for the last 6 months and

Our Thoughts RADAR AI

Compared with buying new at this level, A$3,800 is a touch under the recent used-market median of A$3,997 and sits below the 25th percentile, so this reads as a strong deal rather than just “fair.” For a well-kept pair, that’s enough discount to make it worth shortlisting quickly.

These are highly regarded for a reason: the C1 II is an exceptionally refined compact monitor, with clean midrange, very good imaging, and enough resolution to show quality upstream gear without sounding etched. If the cabinets, drivers, and stands/packing are all in order, the upside is a serious small-speaker performance at sensible money. The main thing to verify is condition and originality, because with a speaker this revealing, any driver or cabinet issue matters.

Independent perspective — not a price guarantee. Always verify condition, accessories and provenance before purchase.

About Dynaudio

Dynaudio is a Danish loudspeaker manufacturer founded in 1977 in Skanderborg by acoustic engineers Wilfried Ehrenholz and Mark Thorup, alongside co-founder Ivan Scarning Geard. The company emerged from a conviction that off-the-shelf speakers of the era failed to reproduce music authentically. From its inception, Dynaudio has maintained vertical integration, designing and manufacturing its own drivers rather than sourcing components externally—a practice that remains central to the brand's identity and quality control.

The company specializes exclusively in loudspeakers and speaker systems across two primary markets: high-fidelity consumer audio and professional studio monitoring. Dynaudio's consumer division produces reference-grade speakers for discerning listeners, while its professional subsidiary, Dynaudio Acoustics, manufactures studio monitors installed in more than ten thousand recording studios worldwide. The brand has earned particular distinction as a reference monitor choice for BBC Radio & Music, underscoring its credibility in professional environments.

Dynaudio occupies the high-end segment of the audio market, positioning itself among premium manufacturers rather than mass-market producers. The brand's reputation rests on uncompromising engineering philosophy—prioritizing authentic driver design over superficial aesthetics—and consistent innovation in loudspeaker technology. Since its acquisition by Chinese electronics company Goertek in 2014, Dynaudio has maintained its Danish heritage and manufacturing practices while expanding its global reach. For knowledgeable buyers, Dynaudio represents a convergence of Scandinavian design sensibility, technical rigor, and professional-grade performance in the consumer hi-fi space.
