Der Cayin CS-805A ist ein Single-Ended Triodenverstärker mit 50 Watt je Kanal Leistungsfähigkeit. Damit kann dieser Verstärker auch wirkungsgradschwächere Lautsprecher antreiben. Richtig wohl fühlt er sich allerdings, wenn er an Hornlautsprechern mit hohem Wirkungsgrad läuft. So führen wir ihn auch in Geiselhöring vor.
Hervorzuheben ist, dass dieser Röhrenverstärker nicht einmal an unseren Hornlautsprechern unangenehme Störgeräusche von sich gibt. Brummen und Rauschen hört man nur, wenn man in die Lautsprecher kriecht (auch dann, wenn die Gegenkopplung ausgeschaltet ist – im Gegensatz zu vielen anderen SE-Röhrenverstärkern). Das ist für einen SE-Verstärker mit diesem Potential eine echte Sensation und läßt ihn dementsprechend seine phänomenalen klanglichen Eigenschaften voll entfalten. So soll ein SE-Verstärker arbeiten.
Der Verstärker läßt sich als Vollverstärker und Endstufe betreiben.
