Seller's Description

Beyerdynamic T1 Version 2 Headphones - Over/On Ear Selling these Beyerdynamic T1 (Version 2) over ear headphones to make way for new purchases. These are in perfect sonic condition but over time the headband has started to deteriorate a bit (see pictures). They are still really comfortable, no issues there, but you could consider wrapping the band to stop addition wear.   The V2, has more bass and is a little warmer than the V1 but still has the holographic sound staging and treble focus and detail of the V1.  I currently have DT880 pads on them and also included are the Dekoni Elite Velour pa

About Beyerdynamic

Beyerdynamic traces its roots to 1924 Berlin, where engineer Eugen Beyer founded Elektrotechnische Fabrik Eugen Beyer to produce cinema loudspeakers for the dawn of sound films. Born in St. Petersburg in 1903, Beyer relocated amid the Russian Revolution, pioneering dynamic drivers that defined early audio reproduction. Post-World War II destruction forced a rebuild in Heilbronn in 1948, with his son Fred R. Beyer steering the family-owned firm through decades of innovation until its 2025 acquisition by China's Cosonic Intelligent, marking the end of a century-long German heritage.

The brand excels in headphones and microphones, launching the DT 48 in 1937 as the world's first dynamic headphones—a staple for sound engineers until 2012. It expanded into wireless systems, conference tech, and professional monitoring gear, serving studios, broadcast, film, and now gaming. While early efforts included amplifiers and loudspeakers, Beyerdynamic prioritizes transducers over consumer amps, DACs, turntables, speakers, or cables.

Renowned for durable, reference-grade professional audio, Beyerdynamic occupies a solid mid-to-high-end niche, blending accessible pricing with studio precision that appeals to creators and audiophiles. Its century of milestones—from micing royalty to touring icons—cements a reputation for reliability and sonic purity among discerning hi-fi buyers seeking tools that endure.
