Seller's Description

Our Thoughts RADAR AI

At €700 for a single floorstanding speaker, this listing is essentially new price (the current retail is €698 per unit), making it neither a bargain nor overpriced for a used nuBoxx B-70 in excellent condition. The typical used market for this model rarely dips below €600 per speaker, so €700 sits right at the median—fair, but not a strong deal.

The nuBoxx B-70 is well-regarded as a compact 3-way passive floorstander that delivers deep bass down to 32 Hz and handles up to 450 W music power, making it surprisingly capable in larger rooms. Its dual 180 mm bass drivers and linear 3 cm excursion give it genuine low-end authority despite its modest 107 cm height. If this is original-owner, clean, and includes stands or original packaging, it’s a solid buy for someone wanting Nubert’s precise, detailed sound without the bulk of larger models. No major failure points are known for this line, so at fair price and excellent condition, it’s a worthwhile opportunity.

Independent perspective — not a price guarantee. Always verify condition, accessories and provenance before purchase.

About Nubert

Nubert electronic GmbH traces its roots to a garage in Schwäbisch Gmünd, Germany, where Günther Nubert began crafting loudspeakers to his exacting standards in the early 1970s. On January 10, 1975, he formally founded the company, marking the birth of a brand synonymous with honest, uncolored audio reproduction. What started as a passion project quickly evolved into a nationwide phenomenon, fueled by word-of-mouth praise and the debut of iconic models like the 388, 471, 551, and the distinctive omnidirectional nuPyramide. Still under Günther Nubert's leadership as owner and chief developer, the company has maintained family-run independence for over 50 years.

Nubert's product lineup centers on loudspeakers, from passive floorstanders and bookshelves in series like Numero to active systems and powerful soundbars that punch above their weight in home theater performance. Since introducing its first in-house amplifier in 2005, the brand has expanded into integrated electronics, emphasizing neutral signal fidelity across music and film playback. While not venturing into turntables, DACs, headphones, or cables, Nubert prioritizes direct-sales models that deliver high-value engineering without retail markups.

Renowned as a pioneer of Germany's direct-to-consumer hi-fi model since 1995—which drove 40% annual growth amid a shrinking market—Nubert occupies a solid mid-to-high-tier position. Selling around 15,000 pairs yearly at its peak, it appeals to discerning buyers seeking robust, made-in-Germany performance over flashy aesthetics, earning a loyal following for transparent sound that lets source material shine unaltered.
