The catch is that the RX-950 is an older, niche surround receiver, and the only solid pricing anchor I can find is the earlier RX-950 family’s original 1'650 DM launch price, which at least tells you this was a serious mid/high-tier unit in its day rather than a budget box. At €150, you’re paying sensible enthusiast money if it’s complete and working well; I would not call it overpriced.
What makes it worth a look is the era-specific JVC appeal: lots of inputs, full-size build, and that chunky late-’80s/’90s home-theater feel that can be fun for retro systems or TV/console duties. If it powers up cleanly, switches inputs properly, and the display and controls are healthy, this is the kind of listing that can be a genuinely satisfying buy. The main thing I’d want confirmed is full functionality after so many years, but at €150 the pricing leaves room for that risk.
