This is a fair-to-strong buy at US$150. Against your recent comparable set, it lands right on the median and well below the US$903 75th percentile, so it reads as sensible pricing rather than a stretch.
What makes it worth a look is the usual appeal of a compact high-power amp: straightforward, useful muscle for passive speakers, sub duty, or a simple two-channel setup where you want headroom more than boutique frills. If it powers up cleanly and the channels are quiet, that’s the main upside here; at this price, included accessories or a confirmed clean functional check would make it even better.

Unity Audio, founded in the United Kingdom by Kevin Walker, emerged from his experience distributing high-end brands like Dynaudio while at Sterling Audio. Walker transitioned from sales to manufacturing less than a decade ago, establishing the company as a dedicated speaker builder with deep roots in professional audio circles. This heritage of hands-on expertise and client relationships with elite studios has shaped its identity as a British specialist in precision sound reproduction.
The brand focuses exclusively on studio monitors, crafting active speakers renowned for their accuracy and reliability in demanding environments. Models from Unity Audio populate top-tier facilities such as Metropolis Studios and AIR Studios in London, where they handle everything from tracking to mixing. Unlike broader hi-fi lines offering amplifiers, turntables, DACs, or headphones, Unity prioritizes nearfield and midfield monitors that deliver transparent, uncolored sound for professionals.
Unity Audio holds a strong niche boutique position in the pro audio market, competing effectively against established giants despite its youth. Its products earn praise for build quality and performance that rivals pricier alternatives, appealing to knowledgeable buyers seeking dependable tools for critical listening without unnecessary frills. This reputation cements its status among studio engineers who value substance over hype.
