Our Thoughts RADAR AI

At €750 per speaker, this Nubert nuLine 264 is a genuine bargain, sitting well below the 25th percentile of €926 from recent comparable EUR listings. The median asking price for this model is €1,101, making this €750 offer roughly 32% cheaper than the market average and a rare find for a three-way floorstanding speaker with such slim, asymmetric aesthetics.

The nuLine 264 is highly regarded for its deep bass extension down to 35 Hz, courtesy of three long-excursion woofers and a rear bass-reflex port, paired with a flat-panel midrange and silk-dome tweeter for clarity. Its slender 15 cm width fits tight spaces while delivering full-range sound, and the 84.5 dB efficiency ensures it works well with most amplifiers. At this price, even with standard used-term caution, it’s a smart buy for enthusiasts who value German engineering and musical depth without the bulk.

Independent perspective — not a price guarantee. Always verify condition, accessories and provenance before purchase.

About Nubert

Nubert electronic GmbH traces its roots to a garage in Schwäbisch Gmünd, Germany, where Günther Nubert began crafting loudspeakers to his exacting standards in the early 1970s. On January 10, 1975, he formally founded the company, marking the birth of a brand synonymous with honest, uncolored audio reproduction. What started as a passion project quickly evolved into a nationwide phenomenon, fueled by word-of-mouth praise and the debut of iconic models like the 388, 471, 551, and the distinctive omnidirectional nuPyramide. Still under Günther Nubert's leadership as owner and chief developer, the company has maintained family-run independence for over 50 years.

Nubert's product lineup centers on loudspeakers, from passive floorstanders and bookshelves in series like Numero to active systems and powerful soundbars that punch above their weight in home theater performance. Since introducing its first in-house amplifier in 2005, the brand has expanded into integrated electronics, emphasizing neutral signal fidelity across music and film playback. While not venturing into turntables, DACs, headphones, or cables, Nubert prioritizes direct-sales models that deliver high-value engineering without retail markups.

Renowned as a pioneer of Germany's direct-to-consumer hi-fi model since 1995—which drove 40% annual growth amid a shrinking market—Nubert occupies a solid mid-to-high-tier position. Selling around 15,000 pairs yearly at its peak, it appeals to discerning buyers seeking robust, made-in-Germany performance over flashy aesthetics, earning a loyal following for transparent sound that lets source material shine unaltered.
