Our Thoughts RADAR AI

Is €85 a fair price for a used Apple HomePod mini in excellent condition? At €85, you’re sitting right at the 75th percentile of recent EUR listings, which means this is an ambitious but not unreasonable ask—just above the median of €80 and higher than the 25th percentile of €71. It’s not a bargain, but it’s within the market range for a clean, well-maintained unit.

The HomePod mini remains a standout for its compact size, rich midrange, and seamless Apple integration, making it ideal for smart home audio or bedside listening. If this listing includes the original power cable and box, or comes from an original owner who kept it dust-free, that adds meaningful upside. At this price, the condition and completeness of accessories become key—look for proof of original ownership and no signs of wear to justify the extra €5–€10 over the median.

Independent perspective — not a price guarantee. Always verify condition, accessories and provenance before purchase.

About Apple

Apple Inc. traces its origins to April 1, 1976, when Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak, along with Ronald Wayne, founded the company in the Jobs family garage in Cupertino, California. What began as a modest venture to build personal computers evolved into a tech powerhouse, with early forays into audio via the 2001 launch of iTunes and the iconic iPod portable music player.

In the hi-fi realm, Apple focuses on integrated consumer audio solutions rather than traditional separates like amplifiers, turntables, or DACs. The company is renowned for wireless speakers such as the short-lived iPod Hi-Fi (2006-2007) and the more advanced HomePod series, alongside premium headphones including AirPods and AirPods Max. These products emphasize seamless ecosystem integration, portability, and digital streaming over analog purism.

Apple holds a dominant position in the premium consumer audio market, blending high-end aspirations with mass-market accessibility. While not a staple among traditional hi-fi purists—who often critique its closed ecosystem and past efforts like the iPod Hi-Fi as underwhelming—its products command loyalty for sonic refinement, computational audio processing, and design excellence, positioning it as a mid-to-high-tier contender for savvy buyers prioritizing convenience over boutique esoterica.
