Meze Audio Empyrean Headphones - Over/On Ear I’m selling my Meze Empyrean (first model). Plenty of reviews online if you don’t know about these. I have all the original boxes so happy to ship. These are excellent headphones, on the forgiving side so if you are not in the “Patricia Barber on repeat” camp and love to listen to metal, punk, etc. Then consider the Empyrean. Two cables are supplied in the sale, the stock cable and the upgrade from Meze (silver plated copper). The stand is not part of the sale. I’d also trade against a pair of Focal Utopia 2nd gen and I’d top up with cash.
The A$2,600 asking price is a strong deal, sitting well below the 25th percentile of A$2,650 for recent AUD listings and comfortably under the median of A$2,659. While the newer Empyrean II now retails around A$5,490, this original generation Empyrean remains a top-tier planar option that doesn’t feel dated, making the pricing here genuinely attractive for a buyer.
