Seller's Description

Well, It’s time to sell the Darbee Good for you, sad for me. I’m downsizing so I’m selling off some of my beloved items. I am the original owner, bought new at a high-end audio store here in Indianapolis called “Ovation”. Nice people work there, very knowledgeable and helpful. I’ve done business with them for 20+ years. *I think I used the original box to ship another piece of audio equipment. If I find that, I will use it to ship. Otherwise I’ll make a nice box for it, so it arrives safe and sound. Gently used over the years, it has lived a happy life in my smoke-free, climate controlled studio. DetailsConditionUsed - GoodUsed Oppo BDP-103D Darbee Edition in good working condition. Fully tested and functions properly. Includes: - Original Oppo remote (working) - HDMI cable - Power cable - User manual - Original bag Cosmetic condition: light normal wear from use. Disc tray opens smoothly and reads Blu-ray/DVD/CD + Super Audio CD correctly. Darbee processing works properly. The 103D is a high-end “universal disc player”, not just a Blu-ray player. It plays: • Blu-ray (2D + 3D) • DVD / CD • SACD / DVD-Audio (audiophile formats) • FLAC / WAV / DSD files • Network streaming & USB media …and it has full analog 7.1 outputs, dual HDMI outs, and HDMI inputs. The “D” stands for Darbee Visual Presence, a real-time video processor that enhances depth and detail by modifying pixel luminance, basically sharpening perceived depth without typical sharpening artifacts. The OPPO BDP-103D is a highly acclaimed universal 3D Blu-ray player featuring integrated Darbee Visual Presence (DVP) technology for enhanced image depth and detail. It supports 4K upscaling, 7.1-channel audio, and various media formats (SACD, DVD-A, MKV). The player is known for its fast, sturdy, and versatile performance. The 103D is highly sought after in the used market for its superior image quality and build. Please ask questions or request additional pictures. Thank you!*******************************************Other stuff (blah blah blah, etc): My feedback score and online store reputation are important to me. I am an individual independent seller. I will "officially" list the item condition conservatively as all interpretations of the grading scale are highly subjective.Important to note - During the first 30 days of listing (if it lasts that long) I will not have the "make an offer" active. If you are a serious buyer, please "message seller" and ask questions and/or provide rationale for any offer you might have. Please understand: I am always open to discuss with a serious buyer, but have had way too many lowball offers on my listings over the years (I am sure you have also). I try to price it right on my first listing, but at times you, the buyer, might know more than me about what I am listing. It won't hurt my feelings. If I missed something, let's talk. I'm not one of those musicians who thinks they know everything about everything. . . .Shipping:Insured shipping only to a verified US address (unless otherwise specified in the auction shipping details).Your package might not look beautiful, but will be packed like a tank and I'll take all possible shipping precautions.· I don't try to make any profit on shipping/handling. I just want the gear to get to you safe.· I use the Reverb shipping calculator to be as accurate as possible.· For heavy-duty boxes, I purchase these at Lowes.· I will custom-make boxes at times to save costs at the buyers request.· I try to use recycled boxes and packaging where possible.Shipping Estimates are based on these “typical” considerations· Electric Guitar Box: Generally, 50" x 20" x 8".· Over-sized/Bass Box: Approximately 52" x 24" x 8".· Other gear: I try to custom-make recycled boxes (Amazon, etc.) which minimize shipping costs but maintain high protection. · Weight Limit: When possible, I keep the total weight under 30 lbs for standard rates.· Packing Material: Packed with enough padding (bubble wrap, peanuts, etc.) to prevent movement inside the box and optimal protection.

About Oppo

Oppo Digital, the audiophile arm of the Chinese electronics giant Oppo, traces its roots to 2004 with the establishment of its U.S. division in Menlo Park, California. This overseas outpost of the Dongguan-based parent company, founded amid BBK Electronics' expansion under entrepreneur Duan Yongping, focused on high-fidelity audio and video gear sold exclusively online. From humble beginnings in MP3 players and DVD units, it carved a niche in premium home entertainment during the Blu-ray era.

The brand specialized in personal audio and video equipment, gaining acclaim for Blu-ray Disc players renowned for superior sound quality, sleek design, and robust performance. Entering the personal audio market in 2014, Oppo offered headphones and related products that emphasized precision playback, though it never delved deeply into traditional hi-fi categories like amplifiers, speakers, turntables, DACs, or cables.

Oppo Digital held a strong mid-to-high-end position among discerning buyers, prized for reliable, value-driven excellence in digital playback before ceasing operations around 2020. Its legacy endures as a benchmark for accessible audiophile gear, appealing to enthusiasts seeking polished integration of video and sound without boutique excess.
