This one was serviced by Rage Audio and Tony, Rage Audio's in-house ex-Nakamichi service tech reckons this one is the best he’s ever seen. The official Naka repair jig was used during servicing. The Dragon is one of the iconic Nakamichi decks: superb transport engineering, excellent azimuth correction, and genuinely class-leading playback potential when everything is set up right. For a buyer, the big upside is rarity and usability—this isn’t just a shelf queen if it’s been properly maintained, and original box or a documented service history would add real value. At this level, I’d want clear proof of recent belt/idler work, head condition, and stable playback/record performance before paying up.
