Selling a Lumagen Radiance Pro 4242 in excellent condition. It has 4 x 18GHz inputs and 2 x 9GHz outputs remote and power cord. Very low hours use, tested as fully operational by SE Qld specialist home theatre integrator.Fantastic review on StereoNet. Here: https://www.stereonet.com/reviews/lumag...
Unknown condition keeps this from being a pure no-brainer, but at A$7,500 it still lands clearly below the recent used-market median of A$9,293 and even under the 25th percentile of A$8,397. That makes it look like a strong deal, assuming it’s fully working and complete.
The big upside here is that this is a well-regarded high-end video processor: owners buy these for excellent scaling, HDMI management, and fine control over projection-based systems. If the unit has the original remote, power supply, and clean firmware history, that strengthens the buy further; the main thing to verify is that it’s stable with your sources and display chain, since setup can be a bit involved.

Lumagen, founded in 2001 by Jim Peterson in Beaverton, Oregon, USA, emerged as a specialist in advanced video processing for home entertainment. From its inception, the company has focused on designing and manufacturing high-performance processors in the USA, building a heritage rooted in innovation for cinema-grade visuals rather than traditional hi-fi audio components.
The brand's product lineup centers exclusively on video processors, such as the acclaimed Radiance Pro series, which support up to ten 4K60 UltraHD inputs and four outputs. These devices excel in deinterlacing, scaling, dynamic tone mapping, 3D LUT calibration, aspect ratio control, and HDR processing, with modular I/O for future-proof HDMI upgrades. Partnerships like HARMAN Luxury Audio Group's distribution underscore their integration into premium AV systems, though they produce no amplifiers, speakers, DACs, or audio-centric gear.
Positioned as a niche high-end leader in the custom installation and home cinema market, Lumagen commands respect among integrators and enthusiasts for "set-and-forget" reliability and pro-level image quality. Often hailed as the benchmark for video processing—far beyond entry-level scalers—its boutique status appeals to discerning buyers prioritizing visual perfection in reference systems.
