Should you jump on it at US$35? Yes: against your database’s US$47 median and US$39 25th percentile, this sits below the low end of the recent used market and looks like a strong deal rather than a merely fair one.
That makes it easy to like if you want a compact desktop DAC/amp with a solid reputation for clean, punchy sound and good measured performance for the money. For a buyer, the main upside is simple: you’re getting a well-regarded dongle-style unit at a price that leaves room for cable or accessory gaps, so it’s worth confirming it includes the original USB leads/adapters and that both outputs work cleanly before paying.

Moondrop emerged in 2015 from Chengdu Shuiyueyu Technology Co., Ltd., a Chinese firm founded by a team of audio engineers passionate about high-fidelity sound. Rooted in the burgeoning Chi-Fi scene, the brand quickly distinguished itself through industrial design, technological innovation, and collaborations with research labs, blending artistry with acoustic precision to challenge established norms in personal audio.
The company specializes in portable audio gear, with a core focus on in-ear monitors (IEMs), earphones featuring dynamic drivers and balanced armatures, earbuds, and custom models. It has expanded into headphones, digital DAC/AMP units, smart audio equipment, and even ACGN-themed accessories, while maintaining a reputation for software integration and consistent tuning aligned with the Harman target curve for broad appeal.
Moondrop holds a commanding position as Chi-Fi's most successful IEM maker, excelling in the mid-tier market with exceptional value—delivering neutral, detailed sound that rivals pricier rivals without compromising quality. Its consistency, aggressive pricing, and cult following among enthusiasts solidify it as a go-to for discerning buyers seeking performance over prestige.
