Notable as a mid-tier older soundbar, this one is priced a bit rich for the current used market. Against your database anchor, €220 sits well above the 75th percentile at €200, so I’d call it ambitious rather than fair; the median is €133 and the 25th percentile is €100, so there isn’t much room here unless it’s exceptionally complete or pristine.
What keeps it interesting is the usual Samsung value proposition: straightforward TV upgrade, decent dialogue clarity, and a compact all-in-one form that’s easy to place. If it includes the original remote, power supply, and any matching subwoofer or wall hardware, that helps justify the premium; if not, I’d want a clearer ask given the age and the fact that soundbars are often sold after years of home-theater use.

Samsung Electronics, founded in 1969 in Suwon, South Korea, by Lee Byung-chull, began as part of the Samsung Group with a vision embodied in its name—"three stars"—symbolizing power, abundance, and enduring brilliance. Initially focused on electronics like black-and-white televisions and semiconductors, the company rapidly expanded into consumer appliances, earning global recognition in the 1970s for mass-producing home electronics that set industry standards for reliability and innovation.
In hi-fi audio, Samsung's direct offerings emphasize integrated soundbars, wireless speakers, and headphones optimized for its Galaxy ecosystem and QLED televisions, prioritizing seamless connectivity and immersive home theater experiences over standalone components. Through its subsidiary Harman International—acquired in 2017—Samsung commands a vast portfolio including JBL, Harman Kardon, AKG, and, following the 2025 $350 million purchase of Sound United, premium brands like Bowers & Wilkins, Denon, Marantz, Polk Audio, and Definitive Technology. This arsenal spans amplifiers, turntables, DACs, and high-end speakers, blending legacy hi-fi engineering with modern DSP and streaming.
Positioned as a dominant mid-to-premium market force rather than a pure high-end boutique, Samsung leverages scale and ecosystem integration to deliver accessible excellence, appealing to discerning buyers seeking value-driven performance without niche esoterica. Its aggressive acquisitions have reshaped the audio landscape, making it a pivotal player for hi-fi enthusiasts prioritizing versatility and future-proofing over vintage exclusivity.
