Compared with a plain “good enough” used deck at this price, this one is on the ambitious side: €1,000 sits above the €627 median and also above the €1,060 75th percentile is not crossed, so it’s expensive relative to the pack but not wildly out of bounds. In other words, you’re paying top-of-market money for a common model rather than snagging a bargain.
That said, the SL-1200MK2 earns its reputation: it’s a durable, torque-strong, fuss-free direct-drive table with excellent speed stability and huge parts/support depth. If the condition is genuinely excellent, the dustcover, mat, headshell, and pitch functions are all in order, and it’s been properly serviced, this can still be a sensible buy for someone who wants a long-term keeper rather than a project.
