On your own comp set, US$1,489 is far above the US$430 75th percentile and sits well outside the usual used-market band for this amplifier, so this is an ambitious ask rather than a fair-market listing. Against a median of US$191 and a 25th percentile of US$100, it needs a very special rationale to make sense.
That said, the SA-9500 line is a respected early-’70s Pioneer integrated: hefty build, classic silver-face presentation, and the kind of warm, full, authoritative sound vintage fans still chase. If this one is truly original, clean, and recently serviced, the upside is in long-term enjoyment and collector appeal—but at this price I’d want documented restoration, excellent cosmetics, and proof it’s fully healthy before treating it as more than a premium outlier.
