For this model, €650 sits above the recent used-market median of €543 and also above the 75th percentile at €593, so it reads as ambitious rather than fair value. It is not wildly out of line, but it is clearly priced at the top end of the current comparable range, so I’d only move if you specifically want this unit and the package is unusually complete.
That said, this is still a well-regarded IEM with the kind of tuning and technical performance buyers typically chase in the upper-end used segment, so a clean example can be worth paying for if condition is genuinely excellent. The upside here is mostly in getting a cared-for piece without wear, hidden channel imbalance, or accessory loss; if it includes the original tips, cable, case, and packaging, that helps.
Independent perspective — not a price guarantee. Always verify condition, accessories and provenance before purchase.
FlipEars emerged from the Philippines as the nation's first company dedicated to manufacturing both universal and custom in-ear monitors (IEMs). Founded by singer-songwriter Aries Sales, who serves as the master tuner for all releases, the brand pays homage to the Filipino passion for music through its evocative name. Shells are meticulously crafted and assembled locally, incorporating high-quality imported balanced armature drivers from Knowles in the USA and Sonion in Japan.
The company's product focus centers on premium IEMs, with standout models like the Aegis and Legion from the Arsenal collection, alongside the flagship Arion and custom options such as the Aether and Artha. These offerings emphasize tuned frequency responses for discerning listeners, available through select retailers like MusicTeck and Bloom Audio, with prices reflecting boutique craftsmanship—such as the Aegis at $480.
FlipEars holds a niche position in the high-end personal audio market, earning acclaim among audiophiles for its artisanal approach and musical tuning. As a boutique Filipino innovator, it appeals to knowledgeable buyers seeking unique, handcrafted IEMs that blend global components with local expertise, carving out a dedicated following in the competitive ciEM landscape.
