That said, the SL-G700 is a well-regarded, heavyweight all-in-one disc machine with a serious DAC stage and a reputation for clean, controlled playback; if it’s truly clean and complete, there’s real upside in buying one that’s been looked after. At this level, I’d want confidence in cosmetics, remote, packaging, and smooth transport/DAC operation, because you’re paying a premium over the current used norm.
