Offered is „Telos 8800 Monoblocks and Mimesis Reference Preamp - Top of the Line - Free Shipping Worldwide!“ by Goldmund as second-hand device from the category „Transistor-Poweramp“ on audio-markt.de - the online market place for high-end. The advert with the number 228236176 ends on 30.11.2026 at 08:17 o'clock.
This is an ambitious ask: at €295,000, it sits far above the recent comparable median of €9,514 and even well beyond the 75th percentile of €14,896. On those numbers alone, this is not priced like a normal used listing; it needs to be justified as a truly exceptional package, not just a strong example.
The upside is that Goldmund’s top-tier pieces are prized for their speed, control, and low-noise presentation, and a monoblock plus reference preamp pairing is the kind of system that can deliver serious scale and refinement. If this is fully functional, complete, and exceptionally documented, the appeal is in scarcity and system coherence rather than bargain pricing. At this level, a buyer should verify service history, original packaging, and any proprietary accessories, because the price leaves little room for uncertainty.

Goldmund traces its origins to 1978, when two college students founded the company in France and unveiled the groundbreaking T3 servo-controlled tonearm, the world's first computer-controlled linear tracking design. This debut marked the start of a relentless pursuit of sonic perfection, with the brand soon relocating to Geneva, Switzerland, where it embraced "Swiss Made" precision and values of innovation, excellence, and passion. Named after a character in Hermann Hesse's Narcissus and Goldmund, the company has upheld these ideals for over four decades, evolving from humble beginnings into a beacon of audio craftsmanship.
The brand specializes in high-end categories that span the full audio chain, including revolutionary turntables like the Reference, iconic speakers such as the Apologue series exhibited at MoMA in New York, and powerhouse amplifiers like the Telos and NextGen lines. Goldmund also excels in DACs, preamplifiers, cables, and integrated systems, blending analog purity with cutting-edge digital wireless transmission. Every product reflects meticulous engineering, often pioneering proprietary technologies to eliminate distortion and deliver lifelike reproduction.
Positioned firmly at the pinnacle of the extreme high-end market, Goldmund commands a reputation among discerning audiophiles for defying conventional hi-fi norms and producing the most accurate, concert-like sound experiences available. Its handmade systems, synonymous with luxury and artistry, dominate niche luxury home audio and theater realms, backed by a legacy of boundary-pushing innovations that set the global gold standard.
