Seller's Description

Nubert nuBoxx AS-425 max – Schwarz – guter Zustand

Benjamin

Our Thoughts RADAR AI

This is a buyer’s market for this category right now, and €289 is a strong buy. New pricing sits around €668, and the used market shows listings and sold examples mostly in the roughly €320–€450 range, so €289 lands below the usual used band and looks like a genuine bargain rather than just “good value.”

It’s worth it because this is a well-regarded, room-filling TV speaker with Nubert’s usual emphasis on clear dialogue, solid dynamics, and a clean, no-nonsense presentation. A good-condition example at this price is especially appealing if it includes the original remote, power lead, and any brackets/feet, since those extras add convenience and reduce hassle; I’d mainly just verify full functionality and cosmetic condition before moving quickly.

Independent perspective — not a price guarantee. Always verify condition, accessories and provenance before purchase.

About Nubert

Nubert electronic GmbH traces its roots to a garage in Schwäbisch Gmünd, Germany, where Günther Nubert began crafting loudspeakers to his exacting standards in the early 1970s. On January 10, 1975, he formally founded the company, marking the birth of a brand synonymous with honest, uncolored audio reproduction. What started as a passion project quickly evolved into a nationwide phenomenon, fueled by word-of-mouth praise and the debut of iconic models like the 388, 471, 551, and the distinctive omnidirectional nuPyramide. Still under Günther Nubert's leadership as owner and chief developer, the company has maintained family-run independence for over 50 years.

Nubert's product lineup centers on loudspeakers, from passive floorstanders and bookshelves in series like Numero to active systems and powerful soundbars that punch above their weight in home theater performance. Since introducing its first in-house amplifier in 2005, the brand has expanded into integrated electronics, emphasizing neutral signal fidelity across music and film playback. While not venturing into turntables, DACs, headphones, or cables, Nubert prioritizes direct-sales models that deliver high-value engineering without retail markups.

Renowned as a pioneer of Germany's direct-to-consumer hi-fi model since 1995—which drove 40% annual growth amid a shrinking market—Nubert occupies a solid mid-to-high-tier position. Selling around 15,000 pairs yearly at its peak, it appeals to discerning buyers seeking robust, made-in-Germany performance over flashy aesthetics, earning a loyal following for transparent sound that lets source material shine unaltered.
