Compared with a clean restored integrated amp or modern receiver at this price, US$990 for a 8080DB is only fair if it’s been properly serviced; for an unverified, unknown-condition unit, it’s ambitious rather than a bargain. Recent market references put this model around US$650 when priced by a vintage dealer, with sold examples spanning roughly US$1,150 for a very nice unit and around US$1,400–US$1,910 for stronger listings; that makes US$990 sit in the middle of the real-world range, but not low enough to be an obvious steal.
