This is a Pioneer SX-3900 Receiver in Very Good condition, recently back from a massive overhaul. The SX-3900 is a notable Fluoroscan-era Pioneer, but US$1,675 is on the rich side for an unknown-condition piece. Recent used comps cluster around US$1,200–US$1,600 for working examples, with fully restored or especially clean units sometimes pushing higher; that makes this asking price above typical fair-market territory unless it’s been serviced and is cosmetically excellent.
What makes it tempting is the combination of big late-1970s Pioneer styling, strong output, and genuine collector appeal; these are the receivers people buy when they want both a statement piece and a serious listener. If it’s original-owner, fully functional, and includes all knobs, lamps, and a clean cabinet, the premium is easier to justify; if not, I’d want enough detail to know whether you’re paying for condition or just chasing rarity.
