At A$450, this looks fair-to-good rather than cheap for a BDT-101CI: Oppo’s Australian RRP was A$599, and the model has enough cult status that clean examples often hold value well. Without a strong condition report, I’d treat A$450 as a sensible buy if it’s complete and working properly, but not quite a bargain-tier steal.
What makes it appealing is the usual Oppo mix of solid build, very good disc playback, and strong universal-player versatility for CD, Blu-ray, and home-theatre use. The included cables & accessories add real value, especially if the remote is present. Given the age, I’d mainly check tray smoothness, HDMI output stability, and that all accessories are original and usable.
