Set against the current new-price level for this class of speaker, €520 for a used pair in excellent condition is fair-to-strong, and it sits right on the 75th percentile of your recent comps, above the €494 median but not into overpriced territory. It is not a bargain-bin score, but it is a clean ask for a well-kept example in a market where good condition still commands solid money.
This model is well-liked because it gives you the easy, balanced Dali house sound: open mids, lively treble, and a scale that works well in real rooms without needing heroic amplification. The upside here is straightforward: if the cabinet finish is clean, the drivers are original, and the pair has been used gently, this is the kind of floorstander that can disappear into a system and just make music.

DALI, or Danish Audiophile Loudspeaker Industries, traces its roots to 1983, when Peter Lyngdorf founded the company in Denmark as the in-house speaker brand for his Hi-Fi Klubben retail chain, established three years earlier. Born in the back office of that operation, DALI quickly outgrew its origins, relocating to a dedicated factory in the small town of Nørager in 1986. There, it has since expanded fourfold, embodying Denmark's storied legacy in audio innovation—from the world's first electro-dynamic loudspeaker to a precise sonic balance that tempers robust bass with refined highs.
The brand's focus remains squarely on loudspeakers, offering nearly twenty lines spanning compact bookshelf models, floorstanders, soundbars, subwoofers, Atmos and in-wall systems, center channels, and wireless options, including portable Bluetooth variants. Each speaker is hand-assembled by a single craftsman, computer-calibrated for consistency, and often features DALI's proprietary wood-fiber cone material for a distinctive look and natural tonality. While production of entry-level models occurs at a Danish-managed facility in China, premium lines emerge from Nørager, upholding meticulous acoustic design under the Low Loss philosophy to minimize distortion.
DALI holds a commanding yet understated position as the world's second-largest cabinet speaker manufacturer, distributed in over 70 countries with undeniable audiophile credentials. Renowned for high-end performance like the MegaLine series, it spans accessible price points to premium tiers, blending Scandinavian design, reliability, and expressive dynamics. Though less heralded in North America, its global reputation among discerning buyers underscores versatile, installer-friendly excellence.
