It's a serious transport and DAC in one package, and a complete, serviced example with original box is increasingly hard to find.
A 1990s Denon flagship is always interesting, but US$595 is on the steep side for a DCD-2560 unless it’s truly exceptional. Recent used-market asks cluster more around roughly US$200–US$460, with a sold Reverb example at US$458.35 and several European listings landing below that once converted, so this listing sits above the usual band and reads ambitious rather than fair.
That said, the DCD-2560 is well regarded for its substantial build, smooth top-end, and authoritative, analog-leaning presentation that still appeals to serious CD collectors. If it’s clean, fully serviced, and includes the remote, original box, or proof of recent work, the premium makes more sense; if not, I’d want stronger justification before paying near US$600.
