Seller's Description

Our Thoughts RADAR AI

Compared with the obvious alternative at this price point — shopping a little below or above the same tier of used standmounts — kr 10,500 lands essentially at market versus the recent SEK comparables. With a median of kr 10,471 and a 25th–75th percentile band of kr 10,446–kr 10,496, this asking price is just a touch above the upper edge, so it reads as fair but not a bargain.

That still makes sense for a speaker with Dynaudio’s usual strengths: clean midrange, refined treble, and the kind of timing and tonal coherence that rewards a good amp and careful placement. The upside here is simple: if the listing is clean, original, and includes the grilles/packing, you’re paying roughly market for a well-regarded compact monitor rather than gambling on a cheaper but lesser box.

Independent perspective — not a price guarantee. Always verify condition, accessories and provenance before purchase.

About Dynaudio

Dynaudio is a Danish loudspeaker manufacturer founded in 1977 in Skanderborg by acoustic engineers Wilfried Ehrenholz and Mark Thorup, alongside co-founder Ivan Scarning Geard. The company emerged from a conviction that off-the-shelf speakers of the era failed to reproduce music authentically. From its inception, Dynaudio has maintained vertical integration, designing and manufacturing its own drivers rather than sourcing components externally—a practice that remains central to the brand's identity and quality control.

The company specializes exclusively in loudspeakers and speaker systems across two primary markets: high-fidelity consumer audio and professional studio monitoring. Dynaudio's consumer division produces reference-grade speakers for discerning listeners, while its professional subsidiary, Dynaudio Acoustics, manufactures studio monitors installed in more than ten thousand recording studios worldwide. The brand has earned particular distinction as a reference monitor choice for BBC Radio & Music, underscoring its credibility in professional environments.

Dynaudio occupies the high-end segment of the audio market, positioning itself among premium manufacturers rather than mass-market producers. The brand's reputation rests on uncompromising engineering philosophy—prioritizing authentic driver design over superficial aesthetics—and consistent innovation in loudspeaker technology. Since its acquisition by Chinese electronics company Goertek in 2014, Dynaudio has maintained its Danish heritage and manufacturing practices while expanding its global reach. For knowledgeable buyers, Dynaudio represents a convergence of Scandinavian design sensibility, technical rigor, and professional-grade performance in the consumer hi-fi space.
