Our Thoughts RADAR AI

Compared with a typical used stereo power amp at about US$1,093 median, this US$2,150 ask is clearly ambitious; it sits above the US$1,621 75th percentile in your comps, so it reads more like a premium asking price than a bargain.

The upside is that McIntosh’s big solid-state amps have a strong reputation for rugged build, easy drive on difficult speakers, and a presentation that stays composed at real-world levels. If it’s genuinely clean, fully functional, and includes original cosmetics or a known service history, that can justify some premium—but at this number I’d want proof of recent bench work, quiet channels, and no meter or relay issues before treating it as a buy.
