That makes sense for a Musical Fidelity A1: it’s a cult classic for good reason, with a lovely, fluid midrange and enough warmth and drive to make efficient speakers sound very engaging. The upside here is in the experience and the model’s reputation, not in chasing a low price; if this one is clean, original, and has been serviced, it’s a solid buy for someone who wants that particular sound.
