Alles wurde getestet und funktioniert einwandfrei. Er wiegt satte 20,2 Kilo,- made in Japan 1980 , 2 x 130 Watt an 8 Ohm , Phono mit MM und Subsonic-Filter ! , 2 x Tape mit Copy-Funktion, 2 x Aux , 2 x LS A+B, 2 x Filter hi+lo, Dolby FM , 2 x Leistungs-VU-Meter und VU-Meter für Signal und Tuning. Compared with the obvious alternative at this money—a more modern but less charismatic receiver—€835 for this STR-V5 is on the ambitious side, though not absurd if it’s truly serviced and cosmetically strong. Typical recent asking and sold prices cluster more around roughly €400–€600, with especially clean or freshly serviced examples occasionally pushing higher, so this is above the usual used-market band rather than a bargain.
What makes it worth a look is the V5’s “monster” build, strong Japanese-era engineering, and the collector appeal of Sony’s late-’70s silver receivers; these are big, handsome, and capable pieces that still feel special in a system. At this price, the upside has to be real: documented service, original knobs/wood case if fitted, and proof of stable operation. If those aren’t there, it’s a lot to pay for an old heavyweight.
