Dem AV-Receiver HT-R380 – zentraler Bestandteil der Heimkinoanlage AXV-380 – hat Onkyo drei HDMI 1.4-Eingänge spendiert. Dank HDMI-Version 1.4 schleift der Receiver 3D-Videos mit einer Auflösung von 1080p zum Fernseher durch.
Hätte der AV-Receiver eine HDMI-Buchse der Version 1.3, dann würde er das 3D-Signal nicht automatisch erkennen und könnte es nur in 1080i zum Fernseher schicken. Ein weiteres Merkmal der HDMI Version 1.4 ist der Audio-Rückkanal, über den sich der Ton vom TV-Gerät zum Receiver übertragen lässt – also mit einem einzigen Kabel zwischen Fernseher und Receiver. Alternativ hält der HT-R380 einen analogen Audio-Eingang sowie zwei optische und einen koaxialen Digitaleingang bereit, außerdem hat man zwei Komponenteneingänge und vier A/V-Eingänge verbaut. Ein Aux-Eingang, ein Kopfhörerausgang und ein Universal-Port für das Zusammenspiel mit einem optionalen iPod-Dock beziehungsweise einem DAB+ Radio-Tuner runden die Anschlussleiste ab. Mit an Bord sind Decoder für die HD-Tonformate Dolby Digital Plus, Dolby TrueHD, DTS-HD Master Audio und High Resolution Audio.
Der 5.1-Kanal-Receiver versorgt die 6-Ohm-Lautsprecher – also Center, Front, Surround und Subwoofer – mit einer Ausgangsleistung von 100 Watt pro Kanal. Für die Umwandlung von digitalen zu analogen Signalen ist ein 24-Bit/192 Kilohertz Burr-Brown D/A-Wandler zuständig.
Der integrierte und RDS-fähige UKW/MW-Tuner besitzt 40 Senderspeicher. In Sachen Komfort darf man sich unter anderem auf vier DSP-Modi speziell für Spiele (Rock, Sport, Action, Rollenspiele), auf eine A/V-Sync Funktion bis zu 100 Millisekunden und auf ein dimmbares Display freuen.
Einsteiger in Sachen Heimkino, die ein Komplettsystem mit voller 3D-Kompatibilität suchen, könnten im Onkyo AVX-380 einen adäquaten Spielpartner finden.

In excellent condition, the main upside is convenience and low entry cost; just make sure the receiver powers up cleanly, all channels work, and the included speakers and remote are actually present. At this price, it looks like an easy recommendation.
