Our Thoughts RADAR AI

For a Beyerdynamic MMX 300 in good condition, €110 sits a touch under the €114 25th percentile and below the €119 median, so this reads as a strong buy rather than just “fair.” In a market where clean examples often hang closer to the middle of the range, this is priced attractively enough to move quickly.

That makes sense for a respected closed-back gaming/headset hybrid with Beyerdynamic’s usual strengths: solid build, lively but controlled sound, and comfort that suits long sessions. At this price, the main upside is getting a well-regarded model without paying the usual premium; just make sure the boom mic, cable, and pads are present and healthy, since those are the practical wear points that matter most.

Independent perspective — not a price guarantee. Always verify condition, accessories and provenance before purchase.

About Beyerdynamic

Beyerdynamic traces its roots to 1924 Berlin, where engineer Eugen Beyer founded Elektrotechnische Fabrik Eugen Beyer to produce cinema loudspeakers for the dawn of sound films. Born in St. Petersburg in 1903, Beyer relocated amid the Russian Revolution, pioneering dynamic drivers that defined early audio reproduction. Post-World War II destruction forced a rebuild in Heilbronn in 1948, with his son Fred R. Beyer steering the family-owned firm through decades of innovation until its 2025 acquisition by China's Cosonic Intelligent, marking the end of a century-long German heritage.

The brand excels in headphones and microphones, launching the DT 48 in 1937 as the world's first dynamic headphones—a staple for sound engineers until 2012. It expanded into wireless systems, conference tech, and professional monitoring gear, serving studios, broadcast, film, and now gaming. While early efforts included amplifiers and loudspeakers, Beyerdynamic prioritizes transducers over consumer amps, DACs, turntables, speakers, or cables.

Renowned for durable, reference-grade professional audio, Beyerdynamic occupies a solid mid-to-high-end niche, blending accessible pricing with studio precision that appeals to creators and audiophiles. Its century of milestones—from micing royalty to touring icons—cements a reputation for reliability and sonic purity among discerning hi-fi buyers seeking tools that endure.
