The Meridian 565 has a solid reputation as a serious, well-built digital processor from Meridian’s better-era hi-fi lineup, and at US$195 this looks like a strong deal versus your recent comp set: it sits well below the US$259 25th percentile and far under the US$323 median. That’s bargain territory rather than merely fair pricing.
What makes it interesting is the usual Meridian mix of clean conversion, refined detail, and system-friendly musicality, which still appeals if you want a capable standalone processor in a vintage digital front end. The upside is real if it’s complete and functioning properly, but with a unit this age the big buyer check is straightforward: confirm all inputs work, the display is healthy, and any remote/power-supply specifics are included before you commit.
